Olympic and Sunshine Coast Fire exchanged goals for most of their match but it was Olympic who ultimately came away 5-3 victors ensuring it will be a three-way race between them, Brisbane City and Redlands for fourth place. All individual goal scorers in the match with Sam Cronin, Liam O’Bryan, Danny Byrne, Kristen Waters and Youeil Shol on the scoresheet for Olympic. Alex Warrilow, Jeremy Stewart and an own goal contributed to the Fire’s tally.

BRISBANE PREMIER LEAGUE

Similar thrills between Albany Creek and Logan Lightning in a 3-3 draw. Albany Creek lead after half an hour before three unanswered goals from Lightning. Albany Creek has two goals in the last ten minutes and a chance to seal the three points in stoppage time from the penalty spot but it was saved by Logan keeper Nick Moore. The result ends Albany Creek’s hopes of making the finals.
