Bec Price’s departure from The Gap was a victorious one. In her last game for the club, she was substituted to warm applause from the home crowd as her side came away 4-0 winners over Sunshine Coast Fire. Goal scorers were Jess Dillon with a double as well as Megan Price and Greta Bodey.

BRISBANE PREMIER LEAGUE

Mitchelton pick up valuable points to remain firmly in the finals race with a 3-1 home victory against Ipswich Knights.

Ben Njie put the Mustangs ahead on nine minutes before Lucas Wilson replied for the visitors less than ten minutes later. Tim Lawson ensured Mitchie would take a 2-1 lead into the break. Ben Njie scored his second goal from the penalty spot when he was brought down in a goal scoring position by Knights keeper Matt Baker who earned his marching orders reducing his side to ten men for the final 20 minutes.
