A good first up win for the FNQ Heat who defeated Olympic 3-1. Jamie Carroll opened up the scoring in the first five minutes. Things got worse for Olympic when Kosi Yannakopoulos was sent off on the quarter hour. Josh Pin scored for the Heat to establish a two-goal halftime advantage. Youeil Shol pulled one back for the hosts but Crios O’Hare sealed it for his side five minutes from time.

Andy MacAskill scored first for Holland Park and then Nathan Shepherd equalised for Lions ten minutes later making it 1-1 at fulltime. Lions were reduced to ten men with around twenty minutes remaining when Nathan Reardon was given his marching orders. Holland Park claimed the win in injury time when MacAskill scored again for a 2-1 over the reigning Premiers.
