Six Capital Three clubs to fight out Veto Cup

AC Carina kick off the hosting of their pre-season tournament on Friday night involving six Brisbane Capital League Three clubs with both their first and reserves teams taking part.

The Veto Cup features last year’s Capital Three Grand Final winners Toowong FC as well as Clairvaux, Tarragindi Tigers and of course the hosts AC Carina. Newly promoted Mooroondu and Bardon Latrobe will get an early indicator of what the step up in level involves.

Matches will take place at the Brisbane Abruzzo Club, Carina.

The opening round sees the following fixtures:

Friday 15 January

Toowong v Bardon Latrobe. Reserves 6:30pm. Firsts 8:30pm

Saturday 16 January

AC Carina v Tarragindi Tigers. Reserves 3pm, Firsts 5pm

Sunday 17 January

Clairvaux v Mooroondu. Reserves 3pm. Firsts 5pm.

Further group stage matchdays will take place over the following two weekends culminating in the final scheduled for Thursday 4 February.
