Finals Fever – Weekend 11 – 13 September

Plenty of Grand Finals taking this weekend and in other competitions, Grand Finalists will be determined. Here’s what’s taking place across the weekend.

GRAND FINALS

NPL Queensland

Sure to be some spice in this one, particularly from the Brisbane Strikers perspective after the way that the Premiership was decided. They’ll travel to Wolter Park on Sunday afternoon on Sunday evening to meet Moreton Bay who are looking to claim the double. Kickoff is at 5pm.

NPL Queensland Womens

Brisbane City’s Corporate Travel Management Stadium will play host as 1st and 2nd battle it out between The Gap and Palm Beach. The Gators defeated the Sharks in the first round of the finals so it promises to be another tight encounter. The action starts Saturday night at 6:30pm.

Brisbane Womens Premier League

Grand Finals featuring the top two sides at the end of the regular season seem to be the flavour with Logan Lightning hosting Annerley at Cornubia Park on Saturday night at 7:30pm.

Sunshine Coast Premier League

Kawana won the Premiership last season before being defeated by Woombye in the Grand Final, could the reverse happen this year? Woombye were crowned Premiers this year but were defeated by Kawana in the first week of the semis, can the Snakes overturn that result to claim the double. Big night at Sunshine Coast Stadium with the match getting underway at 6:30pm on Saturday.

Bundaberg Division One

United Park Eagles will need to put behind the disappointment of losing last weekend’s Three Cities League Grand Final and bounce back with a second chance at silverware against Across The Waves. Kickoff is 7:30pm on Saturday night at Martens Oval.
