More finals action around the traps today, here’s the results.

NPL QUEENSLAND WOMENS

Palm Beach wrestled control of the match on the hour, scoring three goals in eight minutes but Sunshine Coast Fire weren’t going to go down without a fight in the Preliminary Final. Twenty minutes from time, Fire pulled the match back to 3-1 which would ultimately be the full-time score. Palm Beach progress to next week’s Grand Final against The Gap.

BRISBANE PREMIER LEAGUE

Easts got off to a blistering start with Ramone Close scoring in the 2nd minute of the major semi-final against Lions. Toru Amano made it 2-0 shortly after half time for the visitors. Kado Aoci pulled one back for Lions on the hour mark and Tim Morgan brought it onto level terms at 2-2 with twenty to play.

Shaun Carlos put Lions ahead for the first time in the match in the 81st minute and that was good enough for a 3-2 victory with Lions going straight through to the Grand Final while Easts will host Peninsula in next weekend’s Preliminary Final.

GOLD COAST PREMIER LEAGUE

Murwillumbah’s season is over after Surfers Paradise came from behind to win the elimination minor semi-final 2-1. Surfers will meet Broadbeach in next week’s Preliminary Final to determine who will progress to the Grand Final against Magic United.

BRISBANE – CAPITAL 3

Minor semi-final – Toowong 5 v Tarragindi 1. Toowong will play in the Preliminary Final against New Farm.

BRISBANE – CAPITAL 4

Minor semi-final. North Brisbane 1 v Greenbank 4. Greenbank play Bardon Latrobe in next weekend’s Preliminary Final to determine who will meet Mooroondu in the Grand Final.

BRISBANE WOMENS PREMIER LEAGUE

A goal in each half saw Annerley win the Preliminary Final against Easts 2-0. Annerley through to the Grand Final where they will play Logan Lightning.

CENTRAL QUEENSLAND PREMIER LEAGUE

Frenchville are straight through to the Grand Final after a tight 1-0 win against Clinton in the major semi-final.

Clinton will meet Capricorn Coast in next week’s Preliminary Final after the Yeppoon-based side beat Southside 4-1 in extra time in the minor semi.

TOOWOOMBA PREMIER LEAGUE

Willowburn are through to another Grand Final after defeating St Albans in the Preliminary Final. The Magpies will take on West Wanderers in next week’s Grand Final.
