NPL QUEENSLAND

First versus second it will be in next weekend’s Grand Final

In the first semi-final, all the goals were scored in the second half as Moreton Bay’s Jackson Hall broke the deadlock on the hour. Tim Smits equalised for Olympic a quarter of an hour later but two goals in the last five minutes, one to Joseph Champness and the other to Royce Brownlie saw Moreton Bay defeat Olympic 3-1.

The other semi went to extra time as Scot Coulson for the Brisbane Strikers cancelled out Lyndon Dykes first effort for Redlands. Chris Maher was the difference in extra time as the Strikers ran out 2-1 victors.

BRISBANE PREMIER LEAGUE

An early goal to Mitchelton got them off to the best of starts in the elimination semi. Peninsula Power were able to equalise twenty minutes from the end of time and they kept their 2015 season alive with a third minute injury time winner.

Peninsula will play the loser of tomorrow’s major semi while Mitchelton’s season has ended.

BRISBANE CAPITAL 1

The major semi went to penalties after Holland Park Hawks and North Pine were locked at 1-1 after extra time. Hawks going on to take the shootout 5-4

In the minor semi, North Star ended Pine Rivers season with a 2-0 win.

Holland Park go straight through to the Grand Final while North Pine host North Star in next week’s Preliminary Final.

BRISBANE CAPITAL 2

Souths through to the Grand Final agter defeating Centenary 4-0. The Preliminary Final will feature Centenary playing Western Spirit who defeated Oxley in Friday night’s minor semi.

BRISBANE CAPITAL 3

Acacia Ridge defeated New Farm on penalties meaning that Acacia Ridge are straight through to the Grand Final while New Farm will play the winner of tomorrow’s match between Toowong and Tarragindi in next week’s Preliminary Final.

BRISBANE CAPITAL 4

Mooroondu have claimed a second consecutive win at Bardon Latrobe to progress to the Grand Final. Bardon Latrobe’s next opponent will be the winner of tomorrow’s minor semi.

GOLD COAST PREMIER LEAGUE

Magic United are through to the Grand Final after a 3-0 defeat of Broadbeach in the major semi-final. Broadbeach will play the winner of tomorrow’s minor semi between Surfers Paradise and Murwillumbah in next week’s Preliminary Final.

SUNSHINE COAST PREMIER LEAGUE

Woombye will be looking for back-to-back Grand Final wins and they’ll be up against a familiar foe in Kawana after Woombye’s 2-1 win over Noosa Lions in tonight’s Preliminary Final.

WIDE BAY THREE CITIES LEAGUE

Congratulations to Brothers Aston Villa who are the 2015 Champions after a 2-1 defeat of United Park Eagles in the Grand Final.

FAR NORTH QUEENSLAND PREMIER LEAGUE

Mareeba Bulls are through to the Grand Final after a 4-2 win against Stratford in the major semi-final.
