A lone Jacob Fulluck goal midway through the first half gave the Sunshine Coast Fire a 1-0 win over the Western Pride, getting revenge from the result three weeks ago. Full match report

Olympic are playing ‘hokey-pokey’. First they’re in the Premiership hunt, then out and they’re back in again after a 4-1 defeat of Brisbane Roar. Two goals inside the first ten minutes to Tim Smits and Michael Lee put pay to the Roar’s chances early. Lee collecting a brace in the first five minutes after the break. Conor O’Neill gave Roar some hope converting a penalty but substitute Youeil Shol ensured the three points for Olympic with five minutes to play. Olympic are now just one point behind league leaders Moreton Bay and Brisbane Strikers. Full match report

Brisbane City scored twice in the first twenty minutes and were able to hold off a fast-finishing Palm Beach who scored in the final five minutes. Brisbane City holding on to take the win on the Gold Coast, 2-1. Palm Beach are now nine points off fourth placed Redlands but have three games still in hand.


Rochedale’s late season’s run continued with a 4-1 win against Taringa which seems to have consigned them to certain relegation. Daryl Grant, Mustafa Jafari and Nick Wilson provided Rochedale with a 3-0 halftime lead. Scott Dickson scored for Taringa with ten to play but Seiji Shizuno scored in injury time to restore the three-goal margin.
