Young Queenslanders get a taste of the A-League

Several young Queenslanders have put their name in the shop window this week as they undertake a week-long trial at A-League club, Central Coast Mariners.

Sunshine Coast Fire players Jacob Fulluck and Kobe Fuller have joined Western Pride’s Joel Haack in Gosford.

Fulluck, who featured in queenslandsoccernews.com’s ‘Off The Pitch’ during the season, told queenslandsoccernews.com prior to leaving for the trial, ‘It’s a big experience. I’ll go down there, listen to all the boys, take in as much information as I can and hopefully get something from it if I prove myself down there.”

Rangy defender Haack provided insights on his experience during the week to westernpridefc.com.au“Training with them is really good, even just watching the players and seeing how they go about training. Watching the other fullbacks and seeing what they do differently and what I can take out of that.”

Fulluck is the Fire’s leading scorer in the senior mens competition while Fuller has scored five goals in Sunshine Coast’s under 16 side this year.

It is expected that all three players will return to their clubs for this weekend’s NPL Queensland fixtures.
