Friday night scoreboard – 10 July 2015

NPL QUEENSLAND

It looked like Redlands were going to rack up a cricket score after taking a 3-0 lead inside the first fifteen minutes. Elliott Ronto, Graham Fyfe and Lyndon Dykes did the early damage. Player/coach Fyfe then struck again mid-way through the first half before Lincoln Rule stemmed the tide from the penalty spot for the Western Pride, the home side taking a 4-1 lead into the break.

Fyfe claimed a hat-trick just after the restart as it looked like the scoring would start in earnest once again but Redlands wouldn’t bag another until the final minutes, Ronto collecting his second for the night in a 6-1 victory over Western Pride. That result will see Redlands in the top four in their own right come the end of this weekend’s round while Pride who loomed as a title contender in the early part of the season, sit five points adrift of a finals spot.

Redlands 6 (Elliott Ronto 2′, 87′, Graham Fyfe 4′, 23′, 46′, Lyndon Dykes 13′) v Western Pride 1 (Lincoln Rule 35′ (pen))
