FFA CUP

Congratulations to Palm Beach, through to the FFA Cup final 32 for the second year in a row, Jack Boxell with the winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Noosa Lions. Lions had the chance to send the match into extra time after being awarded a penalty in the dying minutes but Alex Barlow sent his effort wide of the post.

NPL QUEENSLAND

Brisbane City have gone back to winning ways after a 3-1 defeat of FNQ Heat in Mareeba, severely putting a dent in the Heat’s finals aspirations.

Redlands charge towards a final berth has continued with a 3-1 win in Townsville.

First half goals to Cameron Draper and Trent Clulow were enough to seal a 2-1 victory over the Brisbane Roar. Thomas Miller scored the goal for the Roar.

BRISBANE PREMIER LEAGUE

Capalaba’s two-match winning streak has come to an end as Mitchelton have run away convincing winners 4-1 at Teralba Park after establishing a 3-0 halftime lead.

All the goals came in the first half at Wolter Park with the home side going down 3-1 to Rochedale.

It was the opposite at Cornubia Park, a goalless first half but Lions have defeated Logan for the second time in three weeks, this time by the tune of 2-1. Alex Janovsky and Kado Aoci the Lions scorers, Alex Warrilow for Logan.
