Palm Beach scored first through Nik Mirkovic but he turned villan as he left his side with ten men for the majority of the match. SWQ equalised in the second half and the scores remained 1-1 after 90 minutes. Neither side scored in the extra time period so penalties it was. Palm Beach prevailing in the shootout 4-3. Palm Beach’s next opponent will be either Noosa Lions, Sunshine Coast Fire or United Warriors for a spot in the final 32. Full match report.

NPL QUEENSLAND

A goalless first half but Brisbane Roar turned it on in the second, Nick D’Agostino scored in the 65th, Ben Lyvidikos two minutes later, Abraham Yango came off the bench to score the third in the 74th. Michael Lee gave Olympic some hope with five minutes to play but Conor O’Neill ensured the Roar would claim all three points with three minutes to play. Brisbane Roar 4 v Olympic 1. Albany Creek collected the points away to Rochedale 1-0. Rochedale missing a penalty in the second half.

Wolves also took the points away from home, 1-0 against Taringa.
