NPL QUEENSLAND

Sunshine Coast opened up the scoring against Brisbane City through Jacob Fulluck on the 11th minute but Antonio Murray equalised sixty seconds later. Mat Biggins put City ahead for the first time in the match in the 39th minute giving Brisbane City a 2-1 halftime lead and with no second half scoring, that’s how the match ended. City with their third win in a row while Fire have slumped to their third consecutive loss.

It was all one-way traffic in Toowoomba as Western Pride routed SWQ Thunder 7-0. It wasn’t a good start for the home side conceding an own goal on 19 minutes before new recruit, Mitch Bird scored two in two minutes around the half hour mark. Another new signing, Todd Norris made it four on the brink of halftime and scored again seven minutes from time for a Pride 5-0 lead. Lincoln Rule from the penalty spot and Jay Kitching in injury time rounding out the Pride’s scoring. Match report link.

BRISBANE PREMIER LEAGUE

Cristian Sorbello provided the first goal of the match on 58 minutes for Albany Creek before an injury time equaliser from Taringa saw the sides take a point each in a 1-1 draw.

Easts left it late against Ipswich Knights, scoring two goals in the final seven minutes to take a 2-0 win and continue their recent run of winning form.

BRISBANE – CAPITAL 1

A late winner to a 10-man North Star has given them a 1-0 win over Moggill.
