Friday night wrap – 15 May 2015

Here’s our wrap of the results from matches that have taken place tonight.

NPL QUEENSLAND

Western Pride opened the scoring midway through the first half after Mat Biggins conceded a penalty which Lincoln Rule duly converted, giving the Pride a 1-0 lead at the break.

Koh Satake equalised for City shortly after the break after Pride keeper Bon Scott was unable to hang on to a Ryan Roderick shot.

Antonio Murray was able to give City the lead on 73 minutes from the penalty spot after Jesse Rigby was deemed to have handled in the box.

There was late drama with City’s Kai Smith dragging down Harrison Sawyer inside the box, Smith was sent off for that effort. Pride unable to convert the resultant penalty and Brisbane City claim their first win of the season 2-1.

BRISBANE PREMIER LEAGUE

Mitchelton had the better of the first half but were unable to convert against Albany Creek. Both sides going to the sheds level at 0-0. Nasser Mehnat-Gir gave Albany Creek the lead on 70 minutes though before a late equaliser from Mitchelton saw honours shared between the two sides at fulltime, 1-1.
