1. CENTRAL QUEENSLAND

Even though they claimed a 2-1 win against Nerimbera, veteran Clinton player, Nick Ellacott, labelled his side’s performance as the worst of the season. Noted goalscorer, Mitch Innocend was sent off and will miss next week’s match against Southside.

Maroochydore are starting to find their combinations in a comprehensive 11-0 win against perennial cellar dwellers Nambour-Yandina. Jon Harth netted four in his side’s victory as they look to start their climb towards the top of the table.

3. ASIAN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Daniel Bowles and his Brisbane Roar side will need to rebound quickly from last Friday’s A-League semi-final disappointment, needing a win in their final ACL group match against Urawa Red Diamonds to given themselves a chance of progressing to the next round.
