Saturday night wrap – 2 May 2015

Plenty of rain in the south-east caused havoc with the football plans of many but here’s what has happened tonight.

BRISBANE – CAPITAL 2

A bit of a different way to start the wrap but history was created at Wakerley Park tonight with the first time a club’s first team has played on synthetic turf as Souths United hosted Centenary Stormers. It looked good for Souths early on with Andrew Skeehan opening the scoring in the third minute but Centenary being Centenary, of course they came back. Goals to Jason Le, Joe Kleibo, Clinton La Carta and Fedja Mehinagic accounting for the Stormers’ four while Calin Cocis and Elmedin Hodzic added others for Souths but it was Centenary who prevailed 4-3.
